Aftermarket Europe 2010, the primary conference in Europe for the Aftermarket Business & Reverse Logistics sectors, takes place in Stockholm in 1st & 2nd December. 

Alongside leading logistics and supply chain academics and directors of major global enterprises including ABB, Alstom, Caterpillar, Siemens, SKF and Sony Ericcson; Steve Burrows of Isle of Man consultancy SBA will be giving the conference's "Visionary Outlook" presentation on the future of Information Technology in Field Service.
 
Steve is an acknowledged expert on post-sales service strategy including Field Service and Reverse Logistics, and consults internationally from his base on the island. 

Steve Burrows to speak at Service Management conference

 SBA's Principal Consultant, Steve Burrows, will be speaking to the conference audience at Service Management Expo 2010 (SME) at the NEC in Birmingham, UK next week. SME is the only conference & exhibition in Europe dedicated to post-sales Field Service.

Steve is widely acknowledged as a leading expert on the use of Information Technology in Field Service and his presentation will discuss the future of Field Service Management Systems. More information from the conference website here.

SBA Principal joins BCS Board

Steve Burrows, who is a Fellow of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT (FBCS) and a Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP), has been appointed to the Membership Board of the Institute. In addition to directing the Institute's activities for its 70,000 members Steve will lead the Membership Board's Strategy Working Group which will be redefining the relationship between the Institute and its membership for the future.

SBA's Principal Consultant, Steve Burrows, has been profiled in the prestigious "Senior Service" section of Service Management magazine, the UK's leading publication for the Field Service Management industry. Steve is well known for his insight and leadership in Field Service technologies, and is very flattered to be considered amongst the leading voices in a major segment of British industry.

SBA Principal elected to BCS ELITE


Steve Burrows, Prinicipal Consultant at SBA, has been elected to the committee of BCS ELITE (Effective Leadership in Information Technology) in the 2010 elections. He will serve a two year term on the committee.

The ELITE Group of the BCS (The Chartered Institute for Information Technology) is the UK lead forum for IT Directors and Senior Managers to exchange experiences, views and expectations on how information systems should be managed to achieve business objectives. 

Steve, who has served 10 years as board director responsible for IT in a large UK company, also serves on the advisory panel of the Computer Weekly 500 Club (CW500) which focuses on the needs of IT leaders in FTSE500 organisations. He says "I'm honoured and delighted to have been elected to the committee of BCS ELITE. I hope to use my appointment to elevate awareness amongst IT leaders of their need to take responsibility for the performance of the entire organisation they work in, and to raise awareness amongst business leaders of the importance of IT in ensuring the success of their businesses and the need to look at what IT might do for them in the future, instead of focusing on that which has already been achieved." 

SBA Customer Wins "National Customer Service Awards"

The leading supplier of Commercial Laundry Equipment, JLA, has won the "Customer Service Award for Field Service Management" in the National Customer Service Awards, beating household name finalists Fujitsu and Royal Bank of Scotland amongst others.

SBA's Steve Burrows is also IT Director of JLA and an authority on Field Service Management systems; he says "This is a fantastic win for JLA.
